Fulltilt Poker Getting Ready For The Durrrr Challenge.

The first "durrrr" challenge, which should be Patrik Antonius vs Tom Dwan is supposed to get underway at any moment at Fulltilt Poker.

Fulltilt Poker has accommodated Dwan and Antonius by opening up four "durrrr" Challenge $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha tables. They are all heads-up tables, as this will be a heads-up challenge.

Dwan made headlines in the poker world earlier this year when he issued his challenge. Anyone was welcome to accept, except for Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond.

The challenge:

A heads-up battle that would consist of at least 50,000 hands. Four tables would be played at all times, with minimum stakes of $200/$400. Dwan would allow his opponent to choose the game of choice from Pot Limit Omaha, No Limit Hold'em or a mix of the two.

If Dwan's opponent was ahead (after rake) at the end of the challenge, then Dwan would pay out $1.5 million dollars on top of whatever he lost during the challenge.

If Dwan was ahead after rake, then his opponent would have to cough up an additional $500,000.

At least three players apparently accepted the terms of the challenge, including: Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius and David Benyamine.

Antonius will be getting the first crack at "durrrr", and the challenge should get underway this week.

Patrik Antonius warming up $1 million profit vs durrrr

highstakesdb.com just spottet Patrik Antonius and durrrr playing on the online poker tables.

And they thought it was the beginning of the challange, but after a while other players sat down on the tables so it was probably just a warm up.

And, what can you say, this was for sure a cooler for durrrr since Patrik left the Mixed HA tables with a $1 million profit and $875k was from durrrr.

You can see some of the largest hands, including two huge pots over $500k at highstakesdb.com

Phil Ivey Accepts Durrr's Poker Challenge.

Millions Expected to Change Hands in High Stakes Battle.

Tom “durrrr” Dwan told Card Player about his challenge last month, and it is described in full detail in the magazine’s upcoming cover story about him, set to hit casinos this week.

Basically, Dwan has challenged anyone in the world — with the sole exception being his good friend and professional poker player Phil Galfond — to play 50,000 hands with him heads up, in either no-limit Texas hold'em or pot-limit Omaha at $200-$400 stakes at a minimum of four online poker tables.

"I don't get enough people to play me heads up. Even though there is more money to be made in other games, rather than playing heads up at one or two tables, it's so interesting and you learn a lot," said Dwan. "I think I might have an edge here, but it's more to have fun and gamble a bit. That's why I'm making this challenge."

If, at the end of the 50,000 hands, his opponent is up, Dwan will fork over an additional $1.5 million to pad his opponent's winnings. If Dwan is up, he keeps the profits, as well as another $500,000 from the competitor.

Ivey conceded that Dwan might have an edge early on in the battle, since he is not as used to multi-tabling as the online pro is.

“The funny thing is, he probably does have an edge,” said Ivey. “There’s something tempting about that million and a half to $500,000.”

Ivey also said that Patrik Antonius, as well as a number of other poker pros, have indicated that they are interested in taking up the 22-year-old phenom.

Phil Ivey dominates the high-stakes on Full Tilt.

If you take a look at highstakesdb.com Online Poker Results, you will see that Phil Ivey has consistently dominated the high stakes games on Full Tilt Poker.
He doesn't have an edge in just one game, he has an edge in all of the games.

Most of the high stakes players have one, or maybe two games that they feel like they have an advantage in.
And they will avoid games that they feel like they don't have an edge in.

But Phil Ivey is different he is a machine, and seems to be able to profit in any game that he chooses, which makes him one of the best all round poker players in the world ever.

This is the top 5 winners on fulltilt this year.

1. Phil Ivey $7.217.278 With 86133 hands played.

2. Tom 'durrrr' Dwan $4.134.654 With 203543 hands played.

3. Phil 'OMGClayAiken' Galfond $3.428.738 With 134583 hands played.

4. Hac 'trex313' Dang $3.326.685 With 134379 hands played.

5. David Benyamine $2.939.865 With 241499 hands played.

Phil ivey is the biggest winner with the fewest hands played so far this year, which have made him about $83 for each hand played in 2008.

Keep in mind that HighstakesDB.com only started tracking the Omaha Hi/Lo and HORSE games a few months ago.
You can probably safely assume that Ivey was a winning player in both games prior to July 1st, 2008, which might put his total winnings on Full Tilt since January of 2008 up over the 7 million dollar mark.

Players such as David Benyamine and Patrik Antonius have played under multiple accounts on Full Tilt. However, even if you consolidate these results, neither player is even coming close to Phil Ivey in terms of overall profits.

When Phil Ivey in september made it into the money in the H.O.R.S.E tournament at WSOPE in London, he reached the 10 million dollar mark in total live poker winnings. (only official numbers)
